HEO has shared a memo announcing a new Ontario-wide initiative, developed in partnership with HNO and OHF, which introduces a refreshed Gender Expression and Identity training program.

Only individuals who are newly required to complete certification must review and follow the updated training. This includes team officials (coaches, trainers, and others), on-ice officials, and third-party instructors. Those who have already completed the original course are not required to retake the updated version.
